DESCRIPTION
A limited edition from Lochlea, a farm distillery in Ayrshire in the Lowlands, released as part of their seasonal series of four editions named after the stages of the farming year. This is the 3rd Crop of the Sowing Edition, released in 2024 as part of the final round of the series. Made from barley grown on the Lochlea farm and matured exclusively in 1st-fill ex-bourbon barrels, spending nine months longer in cask than the 2nd Crop. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Toasted almonds, with nutty and floral suggestions of baklava.
Palate: Orchard blossom, fresh apples and a pinch of pepper.
Finish: Cut grass, sawdust, toasted oak and a touch of vanilla.
