Loved it
"This was a surprising find. An incredibly smooth and subtle nutty oak flavours. At this price it really compares well with the more expensive single malts."
Launched in 2018, Aerstone Sea Cask is a single malt from the Ailsa Bay Distillery in the Lowlands. Matured for 10 years, Sea Cask is so-called because, unlike its counterpart bottling Land Cask, this malt is matured in warehouses situated right by the sea. This impacts the maturation process and delivers a hint of sea salt. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Light and floral with a subtle, nutty character. Delicate oak, malted biscuits and creamy vanilla background.
Palate: Lightly-toasted almonds, sweet cotton candy and a gentle vanilla oak, balanced with a touch of tannin.
Finish: Lingering oak with delicate sweetness.
Overall rating: 4.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.
