The first in a new series of annual, limited-editions from the closed Rosebank distillery in the Lowlands, bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers (who bought the distillery in 2017, and are currently rebuilding it). Marked Release One, a nod to this new chapter in Rosebank’s legacy, each release will be selected from the old remaining casks, leading up to the first “new” Rosebank spirit. Distilled in 1990 (three years before the distillery closed), matured in 62% refill sherry butts and 38% refill bourbon hogsheads and bottled in 2020. A total of 4,350 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 48.6%.
Nose: Wonderfully crisp and creamy with soft floral aromas.
