An annual batch release from the Tamdhu distillery in Speyside. Batch 4 is matured exclusively in sherry casks with a small portion using first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks. Although created to accompany a good cigar, we assure you this whisky equally excellent enjoyed on its own! Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at cask strength at 53.8%.
Nose: Rich dark chocolate, toasted oak, dried fruit and sherry sweetness. Sticky ginger pudding and warm sherried oak.
Palate: Spiced toffee, vanilla, subtle smokiness and dried raisins elevate the Oloroso influence. Crème brûlée, and plum crumble steeped in sherry.
Finish: Warm and lingering with caramel, nutty richness and a touch of dried fruit. Apricot and toasted almonds, with crisp honeycomb.
