DESCRIPTION

A single cask release from the Laphroaig distillery on Islay, bottled by Hunter Laing in their Old & Rare Platinum Selection range. Distilled in November 1998, matured for 25 years in a refill hogshead and bottled in October 2024. Only 181 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 52.5%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Medicinal peat and maritime smoke, with iodine, fresh citrus and pineapple, followed by hints of smoked fish and coastal brine.

Palate: Rich and oily, combining mature peat smoke with lemon, tropical fruit and subtle sweetness, alongside cracked black pepper and integrated oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering peat smoke, peppery spice, citrus and dry coastal oak.
