DESCRIPTION
A South African exclusive single cask from the Loch Lomond distillery in the Highlands. Distilled in March 2014 from unpeated malt, matured in a refill American oak hogshead before being finished for 8 to 12 months in a first-fill Sauternes hogshead and bottled in March 2022. Only 288 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.9%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Fresh grape juice and candied orange peel lead, followed by ginger cordial and juicy raisins. Subtle notes of walnuts and almonds add depth.
Palate: Rich and rounded, with raisin sweetness, red apple, and a soft honeyed fruit character. Nutty tones develop alongside gentle spice from the oak.
Finish: Medium to long, finishing with lingering red apple, light oak spice, and a delicate nutty warmth.
