DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from the Benromach distillery in Speyside, first released in 2024 and generally unavailable in SA. Matured for in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, including sherry-seasoned oak sourced from the "Sherry triangle" in Jerez, Spain. Lightly peated with highland peat, in keeping with Benromach's house style. Naturally coloured and bottled at 43%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet sherry aromas with underlying citrus, ginger and oak notes, accompanied by a touch of smoke.

Palate: Sweet initially with cracked black pepper, Seville orange and raspberry flavours leading to baked apple and subtle spice.

Finish: Charred oak and soft smoke.
