DESCRIPTION
Made from a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5%) and Merlot (5%) sourced from Stellenbosch, a warm maritime-influenced region with decomposed granite and sandstone soils contributing structure and depth. The grapes were hand-harvested in the early mornings, carefully sorted, and fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle pump-overs twice daily until dry. Malolactic fermentation took place in tank, after which the wine was racked off its lees and matured for 18 months in a combination of new-, second- and third-fill oak barrels before final blending and bottling. Residual Sugar 3.6 g/L. Bottled at 14.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Intense and focused, revealing blackcurrant, dark plum and blackberry, with a subtle lift of tomato leaf adding savoury complexity.
Palate: Rich and composed, showing dense dark fruit framed by a polished, seamless texture, with depth and concentration carried effortlessly across the mid-palate.
Finish: Long and controlled, with fine-grained tannins providing structure and a mouth-watering acidity sustaining freshness and length through the close.
