DESCRIPTION

A permanent expression from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, sold under their peated Ledaig name. Released in 2020 as the first whisky in the Sinclair Series, named after John Sinclair, a key figure in the distillery's founding. Made from heavily peated malt (around 35–40ppm) and matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Spanish Rioja casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.3%. TASTING NOTES

Nose: Turkish delight and rose petals with candied fruits and grapes followed by rich leather and a beautiful peppery spice. A hint of chocolate comes through at the back.

Palate: Creamy mouthfeel full of almonds, barley and sweet malt with some pepper, followed by black raspberries, sweet vanilla and cocoa with cinnamon spice and hints of freshly cut grass.

Finish: Lingering smoky finish with red fruit and sea spray.
