Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, this is not the same as our 13yo single cask from last year, this is our second (and last) single cask, official Highland Park. Distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2017, this 12yo was matured in a first-fill sherry puncheon, made from American oak, that yielded 584 bottles. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 65.8%.

Nose: Honeycomb, butter, cinnamon, raisin, tinned peaches (spicy).

Palate: Oaky, fruit cake, raisin, sweet and nutty.

Finish: Nutmeg, grapefruit and soft smoke.

"Just for a moment, suspend whatever current thoughts you have on Highland Park (HP) and their whiskies... Close your eyes, inhale deeply, take a large sip, and I guarantee you will immediately know why HP is revered the world over. This shines with sweet citrus, heather honey and fragrant smoke. With the high alcohol and richness of flavour, I recommend a healthy dose of water. Thereafter proceed with caution, because it drinks easier than the HP 12yo, but with flavours of the HP 25yo!"

A dram that will leave you breathless

"This is the bottle you bring out when you want to have a last one or two drams or if you feel like something that will knock your socks off. It is punchy and rich but with a great amount of flavor that makes it a great full bodied whisky. It has a beautiful sweet nose and palate with notes of honey, fruit cake, tinned fruits and a good spiciness that leaves you with a long finish and a hint of smoke coming through. This is definitely one to add to your collection!"
