Can't go wrong with Ardbeg
"Really delicious dare I say that it's better than the first half of the uigeadail bottle (gets better after half the bottle has disappeared, the last droplets are amazing ). But the Corryvreckan is start to finish a tasty complex dram, love me those meaty/savoury notes. A little evaporation in the tongue due to the 57% but it's something I always seek in my whiskies, like the smokehead high voltage and the Glenfarclas cask strength. Overall tasty as f##k!!"

Bold, full bodied, pleasant whiskey!
"So this one is unique. Its not an every day drinker in my opinion. But it is bold and leaves a statement! Powerful with a lot going on and for someone who is familiar with Islay styled whiskeys this is one to pick up and pick out. Very tasty full bodied whiskey and as mentioned high on the complexity radar. Really good bottle for the price. If you want to expand your journey with whiskies of this style I would recommend."

ARDBEG CORRYVRECKAN
"Incredible peaty whisky. Hits all the right notes if you are looking for a rich peaty whisky at an excellent price and are looking for something a little different. Not for those who want to follow the masses"

Whirlpool indeed!
"Named after a whirlpool off Islay this one is true to its name - it sucks you in, hitting you with a wide array of different flavors. The introduction of limousin cask influences takes the already wonderful Ardbeg 10 and enhances it. Seaweed, smoke, pepper, smoke, ash, smoke, berries."

Strong for a lighter whisky fan - but still good!
"While I can appreciate the liquid, with a lighter less-peaty preference I found this very strong and smokey, but enough ice and water and I could enjoy the lower notes enough to understand her."

Brash and Powerful
"A very forthright and overpowering dram. It wants to be taken seriously with the extreme peat and high ABV. Intense campfire peat, sweetness on the nose followed by an explosive palate of smoked meats, coffee, brine and nuttiness. Reminds me of a hot outboard diesel motor mixed with salty sea water. A must try for any peat-head."

Intense and smoky
"Ardbeg Uigeadail is my favourite expression in the core series, but Corryvreckan has a special place in my heart as the first "very heavily" peated whisky that I fell in love with. Balance and delicacy are not the name of the game here, this dram delivers huge, powerful waves of meaty, smokey flavour crashing into a sugary and spicey base. If you want a truly intense and complex whisky then this is for you."

Mr.
"I read that the Ardbeg Corryvreckan won- the Best Peaty Award and I just had to try it. WOW, I was totally impressed, intense and powerful and the high ABV, was a definite bonus."

Hardcore Complexity
"A peaty and smoky whiskey, with tar and stewed fruits on the palate - complex enough so you can loose yourself in it. It is spicy and a great winter dram that will warm you up. Personally find the Uigeadail more balanced affair at slightly lower price. But this is a must try for any whisky lover."

Sublime
"Up front let me state that I love peat, BUT I also love cask strength. This won a few awards on release and they are well deserved. Lots of peat, iodine, tar, smoke on the nose. Taste does not come across as cask strength, but more of those typical Ardbeg flavours dominate pepper, salt, chilli, something sweetish (maybe boiled fruit drops), dark chocolate - hint of toffee/caramel. Long, long finish but really all too easy to pour another and start the process again."
