The Macallan Harmony Collection: Jing Edition (Vol. 5) is the fifth release in the Harmony Collection from The Macallan. The series looks at sustainability and collaborations outside the whisky world. This edition, released in 2025, was developed with JING Tea and takes its cue from Phoenix Honey Orchid oolong tea.

The idea was to reflect some of the tea’s floral and fruit-forward character in the whisky through cask selection and blending. The tea itself isn’t used in the whisky; it simply served as the inspiration for the flavour profile.

Nose: Peach and apricot with floral honey sweetness, backed by tropical fruit, orange zest, toffee and soft oak.

Palate: Ripe peaches in syrup, warm citrus and caramelised toffee. Light floral notes appear alongside a gentle herbal or tea-like dryness.

Finish: Fruity and sweet with lingering honey and spice, finishing slightly dry with a subtle oak and tea-like character.
