DESCRIPTION
A single cask from the Penderyn distillery in Wales, established in 2000. This single malt was distilled in 2015, fully matured for 10 years in a first-fill ex-bourbon hogshead and bottled in 2025. Only 192 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 59.9%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Inviting with vanilla cake and a touch of lemon and peach. Toffee, pear drops, and a hint of herbal grass, complemented by notes of popcorn and banana sweets.
Palate: Bright and fruity with spiced fruits and juicy pineapple. Develops into sweet custard, apples, and creamy vanilla, balanced by nutmeg and gentle pepper spice.
Finish: Long and warming, carrying a lingering brown sugar sweetness.
NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM
This is our second Penderyn exclusive, the first, released in 2023, was matured in a port cask and between the two of them they showcase two very different, but equally delicious, sides from this pioneering Welsh distillery.
