Released in 2010, Black Bull 12yo is a high-malt blend composed of 50% malt and 50% grain whiskies. The blend contains Highland and Speyside malt whiskies, along with lowland grain whiskies. Matured for 12 years in refill ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads and finished in ex-Oloroso European butts. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 50%.

Nose: Robust, chunky aromas. Chocolate, toffee, sherry, vanilla and lemon sherbet.

Palate: Smooth, mellow and rounded. Milk chocolate, treacle toffee, pears, green apples and lots of sweet vanilla.

Finish: Some heavier fruity notes emerge, and lots of creamy notes coming through.
