DESCRIPTION

Made from 100% Cinsaut sourced from young vineyards in the Simonsberg ward of Stellenbosch, rooted in well-drained sandstone-derived slopes typical of the region. Grapes were harvested by hand before undergoing 24 hours of skin contact, after which the juice was drained to stainless-steel tanks for spontaneous natural fermentation. The wine matured for six weeks on thick lees, then received a light bentonite fining and was bottled unfiltered, so light sediment may form with extended refrigeration. Residual sugar 8.2 g/L. Bottled at 11.5%. (Bottle size 750ml) 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Expressive aromatics of Turkish delight, rose water and ruby grapefruit, lifted by delicate floral notes and a subtle sweetness of fresh petals.

Palate: Soft, rounded fruit tones of strawberries and cream lead the palate, supported by gentle citrus nuances and a lightly textured mid-palate from the lees work.

Finish: Concludes with a pithy, refreshing edge, bright acidity providing energy and a clean, moreish finish that invites another sip.
