DESCRIPTION
A small-production white blend from Vuurberg, made by winemaker Donovan Rall from vineyards across the Western Cape. The 2023 vintage is 32% Verdelho, 30% Chenin Blanc, 17% Viognier, 15% Roussanne and 6% Semillon, naturally fermented and matured in oak for around 10 months. Full-bodied, it pairs the richness of the Rhône varieties with the freshness and structure of Verdelho and Chenin Blanc. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Aromas of ripe peach, stone fruit and orange peel, developing notes of dried hay, earthy spice and subtle lees-derived complexity.
Palate: Rich and textured, with layers of ripe stone fruit, citrus and gentle spice. Well-integrated acidity provides freshness and definition, balancing the wine's generous body.
Finish: Long and savoury, with lingering citrus, subtle earthy notes and a fresh mineral edge.
