The Three Ships 13yo Cape Ruby Finish is the 2024 and eighth release in the annual Three Ships Master’s Collection. Crafted by Master Distiller, Andy Watts, this limited-edition release was matured initially for 8 years in American oak casks, before being finished in Cape Ruby casks for an additional 5 years. 2,397 bottles were produced, each individually numbered. Bottled at 53.6%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Sweet, nutty flavours interlaced with smoke, old leather, and a touch of tobacco.
Palate: Full and rich with red berries, Christmas fruitcake, honeyed sweetness, toffee and soft smoke.
Finish: Exceptionally smooth and ends with warm, lingering peat and hints of butterscotch.
