Whisky Brothers Service
"Great service. Slick website and order ready and waiting on arriving at the Hyde Park shop to collect. Thank you."

Briny bunch 😉
"The nose is briny and meaty, pulling you into the salty sea and showing a combination of campfire and chocolate akin to s'mores. The palate offers phenols in the range of asphalt and tar. There's also saltwater taffy, raspberry syrup, candied pears, and fudge. The finish offers surf and turf in the form of soil and seaweed, seasoned with salt and pepper, as well as a light touch of dried fruits at the conclusion. An exciting expression of young Ardbeg spirit"

Ardbeg Wee Beastie
"If the 10 yr is an Uruk-hai, this is more like your entry-level mountain orc - but proves a whisky doesn't need to be old to be worthy."

The sister-in-law
"Somewhat wild and untamed, smoky, and having a name that tends to discourage you...but once you open, pour and leave to stand a bit with some water....an absolute pleasure. A very smooth and sophisticated blend that comes through. My first introduction to the Ardbeg clan, but certainly not the last."

Take some time with this one!
"My first experience with Wee Beastie was not great - I found it very one dimensional, did not enjoy the nose much, found the finish a bit lacking..... Second time around - first pour or two from the bottle were a bit better, but a week or three later, going back again, it was transformed. Bottle shock, oxidation - who knows. But what I can say is once you crack the bottle do not just it by the first two or three tots - give it a bit after that. This is a great Ardbeg in my view - but I do love young peated whiskies - I have a few Octomores on my shelf too. I love the BBQ and coffee type notes on the nose, I get more smoky BBQ, dark chocolate, espresso in the mouth and a lovely smoky note that runs all the way through this. Finish, medium for me, but sweet notes, toffee maybe, hint of that espresso again, nice and salty. Wonderful!"

Interesting new Ardbeg taste
"While having the same building blocks as the normal 10-year, I found this smoke to taste very different. Still characteristically Ardbeg, but with a little more untamed sweetness almost. Will probably become a regular in my collection."

Spicy Treat
"Love this new addition to the Ardbeg collection - lingering spice and peat with the signature Ardbeg finish. Well worth it"

Well worth the wait
"A well peaty beastie as advertised. Great value from Ardbeg. Well worth the wait despite being available in other parts of the world way before SA."

Absolutely Awesome Ardbeg!
"Who says young Whisky can’t be brilliant Whisky?! It’s been done by Kilchoman and Wolfburn, and now successfully by Ardbeg. There is so much to delve into with this dram. Liqorice, creosote, tar, dark chocolate, caramel, briny notes, all balanced with rich barbeque peatiness, a chewy, smooth, mouth coatingly creamy mouth feel, and a very long and spicy finish with all those flavors lingering. A great new addition to the core range, so balanced and complex. This packs a peaty punch but is never unruly and all it’s flavors work so harmoniously. My new favorite core, every- day drinking Ardbeg! You will not go wrong with a bottle for sure!"
