DESCRIPTION

A single cask release from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, independently bottled by South African private cask owners under the name Izinyembezi Zenkosikazi, which translates to Tears of the Queen in isiZulu. Distilled in 2005, matured in a bourbon barrel, and bottled in 2024. Only 194 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and bottled at a cask strength of 57.6%.

NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM

This is the second limited edition in the Tears of the Queen South African Artists Series, following the Port Charlotte and preceding the Arran release. The label features artwork by acclaimed SA artist Sam Nhlengethwa, celebrating jazz musicians who have provided much of the soundtrack to the country’s layered history.
