Not a Rhum Agricole
"Is this really an Agricole Rum? Got to call it out as it tastes like a gin! I pick up Juniper & citrus! Dont get me wrong it's not a bad spirit but they possibly didn't properly clean out their still after a gin distillation?"
An agricole style rum made from sugarcane juice rather than molasses. Fresh sugarcane stalks are pressed on-site at Hope distillery and the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks before being distilled in a copper still. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Funky with olive and grassy umami notes.
Palate: Subtly sweet with hints of citrus.
Finish: A slight peppery yet herbaceous finish.
Overall rating: 1.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.
