DESCRIPTION
Made from 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Malbec grown in the Dolomite-rich soils of the Polkadraai Hills in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The Cabernet Sauvignon was wild-fermented in open-top cement fermenters and matured for 18 months in 225L French oak barrels, while the Malbec was fermented in stainless steel and aged for 24 months in older 300L French oak barrels. Residual Sugar 2.01g/L. Bottled at 13.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Ripe blackberries and cassis layered with cedar tones from the Cabernet Sauvignon, joined by an intense, bright cherry character contributed by the Malbec.
Palate: Dark fruit depth with blackberry, cassis and persistent cherry, supported by subtle earthy nuances and a gentle spice backdrop.
Finish: Persistent and well-defined, carried by fresh acidity and firm, structured tannins that give length and shape.
