DESCRIPTION

The next release from one of the newer and harder-to-find Scottish distilleries, Daftmill, is here with one of their two annual expressions. Produced from publican barley grown on the family farm, distilled in 2011, matured in 27 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels in their on-site dunnage warehouse for at least 12 years, and bottled in 2024. 7,500 bottles were produced, of which there are only 60 in SA. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.

TASTING NOTES

Note: Apples, pears, citrus zest, and floral notes with toasted almonds, sandalwood, freshly baked croissants, and marzipan. 

Palate: Sweet fruits, fudge, banana candy and marzipan with freshly cut grass, cloves, and a soft of citrus. 

Finish: A lingering sweetness with floral notes, honeysuckle, and a touch of oak spice.
