DESCRIPTION

The Hibiki Harmony is a blend of more than 10 malt and grain whiskies, with the malt being produced at Yamazaki and Hakushu, and the grain coming from Suntory's Chita grain distillery. Matured in 5 different types of cask, including mizunara (Japanese oak), American white oak and sherry casks. The name Hibiki means harmony in Japanese. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Very fragrant with notes of roses, litchis, a hint of rosemary and sandal wood.

Palate: Honey sweetness, candied orange peel with white chocolate.

Finish: Subtle and precise with lingering oak notes.

"Had an opportunity to taste Japanese whisky finally and guess what!! I was simply blown away cos I Honestly mistook it for a typical Scotch . This is a whisky showing floral and perfume notes specifically litchi and rose pertals , honey and vanilla undertones also . Very friendly on the pallate , not harsh at all. I wil definately recomend this to any whisky newbee."

"Authentic Japanese whisky is hard to find these days, too many pretend-JPN brands! This whisky comes at a premium but at least it has provenance and history (and comes in a beautiful design). Whisky is very well balanced and a crowd pleaser - overall soft vanilla, oak and fruit in 'harmony'..."

"A delicious and complex dram. The nose on this one is incredibly interesting with an assortment of floral notes. The palate starts with some simple sweetness and slowly rolls into a creamy nuttiness. the finish has a gentle touch of citrus to it but does not linger."

Good juice!

"Having seen Hibiki reviewed online I was thrilled WB got stock as I understand it is quite difficult to get, at least in the US. Aside from the novelty, both of the bottle and the blend inside, it is a really great whiskey to get someone started on: light and floral, with a hint of festive spice. Certainly a great fixture to extend the range of one's collection, but obviously doesn't ask too much of the palate."
