Moving away from the distillery’s previous vintage-only approach, Balblair’s new range was released in 2019 and now proudly displays age-statements. The Balblair 15yo is matured initially in American oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by a finishing period in first-fill, Spanish oak butts. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Leatherwood honey and spicy gingerbread followed by juicy prunes and fresh lemon peel.
Palate: Velvety in texture, bursting with dark chocolate, tropical fruit and spices.
Finish: Long and mellow, with notes of creamy vanilla and citrus.

"Wow, I was blown away. This dram is easily better than most 18yo especially the common brands. Soft but delivers plenty of rich dark fruits, hints of chocolate and oak spice. Almost like it's gently massaging your tongue as it goes down. I forsee the price going up on this as more and more people catch on to this amazing whisky"

"Balblair is not a mainstream brand but is growing in popularity. The 15 year old is my favourite from the current core range and extremely good value from money when you consider the quality and complexity of the whisky. This whisky will appeal to a wide range of pallets and has long soft finish."
