Just what I want in a peated dram
"Nothing to complain about the one note that sticks out to me is the briny-meaty/ smoked fish notes which is all I want and need from a peated whisky, it's just a shame that there's only a 130 bottles that were produced. Greatful to have seen a different side of Caol Ila, I'll keep my eye on some of the other independent bottlings of Caol Ila. When it comes to peated whiskies the age of the dram doesn't matter that much just look at the 5 y/o wee Beastie of Ardbeg. 8 years for this one, but it doesn't taste like a youngster at all. I was delightfully surprised, thanks to Whisky Brother & Co."
