Another WhiskyBrother exclusive, selected by us for you! The single hogshead cask was filled in September 2003, and after 11 years and 11 months, was bottled in August 2015, yielding 236 bottles. Each bottle is individually numbered and bottled at a cask strength of 54.6%.
Nose: A great fruit sweetness, with an almost cane sugar like note, sitting on top of ashy peat smoke.
Palate: Development of wood spices alongside gentle peat, marmalade and a hint of olive.
Finish: Medium with soft smoke and a last sprinkle of sugar.

"A wonderful Caol ila with lots of ashy smoke, soot, apple and some lime. Although cask strength it drinks easy without adding water- if you take your time (and prefer cask strength) :) Easily identifiable as Caol Ila with the smoke and fruitiness, but with the desired nuance of a single cask. Can't go wrong with Signatory Independent bottlings, and can't go wrong with single cask peated Islay at cask strength!"
