DESRIPTION

A single cask release of Ardnamurchan, one of Scotland's newest and upcoming distilleries, bottled by Adelphi independent bottlers. This peated spirit was distilled in 2015, matured for 6 years in first-fill American oak barrel (200L) and bottled in 2022. Only 213 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.9%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Coastal oiliness with peat reminiscent of smoldering embers along with orange zest.

Palate: A soft white pepper, salted caramel, with a subtle menthol note balanced with a raw honey sweetness.

Finish: Cherry sorbet and white chocolate pudding; medium-finish.

This release is part of a pair of exclusive Adelphi single cask releases, the other is the Caol Ila 10 Year Old.

"This "ARDNAMURCHAN 6 YEAR OLD ADELPHI WB" is an easy drink - even though the alcohol percentage may seem high (pushing at 58,9%), it still permits for its burst in flavours. The nosing of this dram is inviting, with a hint of that citrus, zesty feeling. On top of that, giving slight hints of some salted nuts. On the Palate, this Dram gives off sweetness which is welcomed by some warmth as well, and quickly moves on to remind you of its peaty influence. A must-have whisky. not overly peated nor overly smoky but a great warm feeling."

"Lovely dram with a bit of citrus undrtones that tand up very welll with the subbtle peat character, well balanced creamyness on the pallate with some a lingering spicy finish accompanied by white chocolate ganache falvours . Great dram indeed."
