An incredibly special, single cask release from the rarely seen Kinclaith Lowlands distillery, which closed in 1975, bottled by independent bottler Duncan Taylor in their Rarest of the Rare series - a limited edition collection of some of the rarest whiskies available today. Distilled on 28 May 1969 and matured for 51 years before being bottled on 5 June 2020. Only 95 handcrafted glass decanters were produced, each individually numbered, engraved and housed in a lockable framed box, inside a brushed stainless steel carry case. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 49.3%.

Nose: The fragrance of sweet oak notes.

Palate: Even after five decades the cask remains active offering seasonal spices of clove and cinnamon with remarkable freshness.

Finish: It’s a beautifully structured whisky, with the cask and distillate in perfect harmony.

Kinclaith was established in 1957, located on the south side of the River Clyde in Glasgow. The small malt distillery was actually housed within the large Strathclyde grain distillery, which still produces today. Kinclaith, however, was only operational for 18 years closing in 1975, resulting in one of the most elusive whiskies of all of Scotland's distilleries.
