DESCRIPTION

Zevenwacht Z Collection Chenin Blanc 2024 is made from 43-year-old dryland bush vines rooted in decomposed granite soils on the Polkadraai Hills at 300m above sea level. Grapes were hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed and naturally fermented in barrel, with a small amphora-fermented portion receiving skin contact. The wine matured on gross lees for 8 months before blending and bottling. Residual sugar: 2.4g/l. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 75cl)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Expressive layers of mandarin zest and lime blossom evolving into white nectarine, underpinned by gentle oak spice and a touch of lanolin.

Palate: Tightly woven and energetic, with ripe stone fruit at the core, accented by citrus oil, crushed granite and a subtle savoury nuance from the amphora component.

Finish: A saline, mouth-watering close with vibrant acidity and fine phenolic grip, giving both clarity and length.
