Heerlik Brandy is a South African craft brandy produced by Metanoia Permaculture Farm & Distillery in the Tradouw Valley, near Barrydale in the Western Cape. Created by distiller Kenny Scheepers, it was the distillery's first commercial release, inspired by traditional German distilling methods. The original production combined locally fermented and distilled grape spirit with five-year-old potstill brandy, using water sourced from the Bokdrif River on the farm. The inaugural batch was limited to just 400 bottles. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Soft caramel, dried fruits and honey, complemented by delicate floral aromas.

Palate: Dry and fruit-forward, with honey, ripe stone fruits and a gentle underlying spiciness.

Finish: Light and warming, with lingering apricot notes and a touch of spice.
