Bottled from a single barrel from the Jack Daniel distillery. Bottled at 47%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Good body with plenty of toasty oak, there are notes of corn and lovely cereal sweetness, there is a good smoke note, a little spice and toffee.
Palate: Full and mouth-filling. There are notes of cereal sweetness, the rye is in evidence with a touch of cigar box and nut oils, a little spice and an aniseed character.
Finish: Good length with a hint of citrus and plenty of cereal sweetness.

"As far as sipping Whiskey’s go, this is a real semi- bodied winner with caramelised banana, caramel sweetness, an oily mouthfeel and pleasant oak. Slightly thin body and a bit muted on the finish sees this as 3 instead of four stars. Nevertheless, certainly A step above the rest of the family tree."

"Don't be fooled by the branding, despite the JD's Old No. 7's reputation, this is a solid whiskey. A classically sweet, oaky Bourbon but there are some interesting oily, spicy notes to unravel and keep you exploring dram after dram. A perfect introduction to the world of "higher end" American whiskeys and a great value bottle."
