A limited-edition release from Smokehead, the heavily-peated Islay single malt produced at an undisclosed distillery, bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers. First matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in casks that previously held stout beer. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Peat smoke with roasted malt, dark chocolate, and espresso aromas balanced by toffee sweetness.
Palate: Full-bodied and smoky with layers of cocoa, treacle, vanilla, and charred oak, lifted by hints of citrus zest.
Finish: Long and warming, combining stout richness with lingering peat and subtle sweetness.
