This release is matured in a combination of approximately 70% ex-Oloroso sherry and 30% ex-bourbon casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fragrant heather, raisins, pear and orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke.

Palate: Over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbeque peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate.

Finish: Mouth-coating mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness.

Peat with character

"Do so enjoy the Sanaig, lots of subtle character intermingled with peaty body. The sherry influence is not overpowering, slightly sweet fruits and the hint of vanillas and coco butter, well for me that is. I love this one and it is well priced."

Marvelous Peat

"Earthy and Peaty with a lot of depth on the palate. Dark fruits wrapped in smoke with a long peppery finish."

A superb Winter Chill

"The nose takes me back to granddad's fire hut when we used to sit and listen to his folk stories. Very much of a desert dram for me, that caramel and toffee on the palate. This is a perfect dram to close the day, i definitely recommend this dram if you looking for fruity peat."
