Released in 2016, this very special whisky is the inaugural release from the new Wolfburn distillery, the northernmost distillery on mainland Scotland. For this limited edition, distillery manager Shane Fraser used a longer fermentation time of 90 hours for more floral notes, and an even slower distillation of five hours. Only 875 bottles produced, each individually numbered and presented in a wooden box. Bottled at 46%.
Nose: Sweet vanilla custard tart, topped with lemon zest.
Palate: Delicate, you would never guess this is only 3 years old! Beautiful mouth feel very oily with plenty of citrus.
Finish: Medium in length with a touch of spice, hints of tobacco and slightly dry.
