DESCRIPTION

The Villiera Gold is a celebratory limited-edition Méthode Cap Classique from Villiera Wines in Stellenbosch, South Africa, released to commemorate the estate's 40th anniversary of Cap Classique production. Crafted in the traditional bottle-fermented method and infused with 22-carat edible gold flakes, this unique sparkling wine combines Villiera's pioneering approach with elegant craftsmanship. Produced from carefully selected grapes and matured on the lees to develop richness, complexity and a refined mousse, it is bottled at 12% ABV.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh aromas of green apple, citrus blossom and white peach are complemented by notes of toasted brioche, biscuit and delicate floral nuances.

Palate: Bright and creamy, with flavours of crisp orchard fruit, lemon zest and subtle stone fruit supported by fine bubbles, balanced acidity and gentle yeasty complexity from extended lees ageing.

Finish: Long, clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus, freshly baked brioche and a fine, persistent mousse, enhanced by the striking visual effect of the suspended 22-carat gold flakes.
