DESCRIPTION
The second release in Torabhaig’s Legacy Series—crafted to showcase the evolution of their “elegantly rugged” peat house style. Made on the Isle of Skye, this expression uses Concerto and Laureate barley, matured in 80% first-fill bourbon barrels and 20% refill whisky casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750 ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Woody tobacco, crumbly vanilla shortbread, earthy peat smoke, lemon zest, smoked shellfish, heathery smoke, blossom honey, barley sugars and salty sea air.
Palate: Bolder peat and coastal tar with an oily texture, roasted salted nuts, light fruit salad, heather, fennel, metallic pepper spice, oily citrus, hints of tropical fruit and vanilla biscuits, all with a subtle medicinal edge.
Finish: Sweeter orchard fruits like apples and kiwi, vanilla oak, lingering peat smoke, sea breeze and briny harbourside character, with hints of tobacco and floral peat.
