The Three Ships 10yo single malt, initially released as a vintage statement in 2003 and four times thereafter, is now a non-vintage expression in the Three Ships range. Crafted using malted barley distilled in copper pot stills. Matured for 10 years, initially in older American oak and then younger second-fill American oak casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.3%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Aromas of white pepper, digestive biscuits and gentle caramel unravel on the nose.
Palate: Rich vanilla and toffee notes coat the palate with tropical fruit, spice and a lingering smokiness in the background.
Finish: A long finish of sweet oak, spicy nuttiness and warm peat.
