DESCRIPTION
A very rare annual release from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, not often seen in the wild. Matured in a carefully selected combination of bourbon and sherry casks, each edition varies slightly in cask composition and flavour profile, reflecting the small-batch nature of Springbank’s production. Generally limited to fewer than 2,000 bottles per year. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: A rich and honeyed introduction to this dram, there are notes of ripe peaches, honeycomb and creamy chocolate.
Palate: There is a vibrancy on the palate, with familiar tropical fruit and fresh tangerine notes, and a leathery note reminiscent of old library books developing over time.
Finish: Tart and syrupy in the finish, with notes of brambles, maraschino cherries and a dunnage warehouse note to round off this dram.
