This release is a WHISKYBROTHER EXCLUSIVE; selected by our team, bottled for us, and not available anywhere else in the world. |
An exclusive single cask blended malt from our very own Sinfonia Minor series. Distilled on 30 August 2001, fully matured for 23 years in a single ex-Oloroso sherry butt, and bottled on 27 March 2025. Only 533 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and bottled at a cask strength of 44.4%. (Bottle size 750ml)
This release is part of the WB range of independent bottlings, first introduced in 2022. The Sinfonia Minor series is inspired by the idea of a symphony orchestra, where the whole is greater than the sum of its individual instruments. Likewise, a carefully crafted blended whisky can achieve a harmony beyond its parts. This is our second Sinfonia Minor release, drawn from a sister cask to the first, with an additional three years of maturation.
A single cask blended malt may sound like a contradiction, but they do exist. In this case, several new-make spirits from the Edrington stable of distilleries — owners of Macallan, Glenrothes, and Highland Park, and at the time also Glenturret and Bunnahabhain — were “blended at birth” before being laid down to mature in a single cask.

"This was my whisky of the show for TOWS 2025. Quality, elegant, aged, sherry cask, cask strength whisky that we just do not see enough of these days. This totally proves how incredibly complex blended whisky can be. At cask strength (yes, cask strength!) of 44% this drinks like absolute juice and is just a winner all round. Stunner. The WB team have knocked it out of the park with this one."
