A limited edition single malt from Loch Lomond in the Highlands, released in partnership with The Open Championship to celebrate the 154th edition at Royal Birkdale golf course. Distilled exclusively in Loch Lomond's straight-neck stills, it is first matured in American oak barrels before a 6 month finish in Argentinian Malbec casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Dark berries, redcurrant and citrus zest with vanilla, honey and soft malt.
Palate: Blackberry, raspberry and peach syrup, layered with crisp apple, toffee sweetness and gentle spice. A subtle thread of smoke runs through the palate.
Finish: Medium length with lingering berry sweetness, soft oak spice and a light, smoky warmth.
