A limited edition from the Loch Lomond distillery in the Highlands, released in their Open Course Collection series in 2025 to mark the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush. Matured for 21 years in American Oak barrels and hogsheads, then finished for six months in Virgin Spanish Oak casks specifically toasted by the distillery's own cooperage team. Distilled in 2002 from Loch Lomond's distinctive Straight Neck pot stills, with only 3,500 bottles produced worldwide. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.7%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Toasted oak, baked apple, vanilla and stem ginger with hints of honey and citrus.
Palate: Toffee, pineapple and lemon zest lead into cinnamon, caramel sweetness and layers of oak spice.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering oak spice, soft smoke and gentle sweetness.
