Despite the Littlemill distillery closing in 1994 and burning down in 2004, owners Loch Lomond have been releasing some limited stock every year. This 2015 release was made from a selection of casks from 1989 and 1990 and hand-picked by Master Blenders John Peterson and Michael Henry to best represent the quality and style of whisky from the distillery. Distilled between 17 December 1989 and 4 April 1990, this 25yo was initially matured in a combination of ten American and European oak casks before being finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Only 1,500 bottles were produced. Bottled at 50.4%.
Beautifully presented with a 50ml miniature of the whisky, as well as a section of a stave from one of the casks that matured the whisky.
