DESCRIPTION:
Le Volte dell’Ornellaia 2021 is a Toscana IGT Rosso produced by Ornellaia in Tuscany, Italy. A blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, the varieties were vinified separately in small stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in steel. The wine was matured for 10 months, partly in barriques previously used for Ornellaia and partly in concrete tanks, preserving fresh fruit while adding structure and complexity. Bottled at 14% ABV in a 750ml bottle.

TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Lively red fruit aromas with ripe cherry and plum, accompanied by delicate spice and subtle savoury notes.

Palate: Well balanced and fresh, with juicy red fruit, smooth fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Gentle spice and liquorice add complexity without overpowering the fruit.

Finish: Long and balanced, with lingering red fruit, fine tannins and a fresh, lightly spiced character.
