Launched in 2020, this is the second release in The Ian Hunter series, a range of whiskies honouring the legacy of Ian Hunter, the last of the Johnston family to own and manage the Laphroaig distillery, between 1908 and 1944. Matured for 30 years in Spanish oak Oloroso sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a cask strength of 48.2%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Dried dates and figs, cigar box with toffee and dark chocolate, liquorice with medicinal notes, pink peppercorns and all spice.
Palate: Manuka honey; sweet, smoked stone fruit.
Finish: Long and mouth drying.
