A single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan, in their internationally acclaimed and award-winning Solist range of single casks. Distilled in July 2015, bottled earlier this year in July 2022 and matured exclusively in an ex-bourbon barrel (200L). Only 163 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at cask strength of 54%. (Bottle size 750ml)

"Bottle 4/163 Cask No B150716066A. The credentials looked good on paper and the expectations were high, but it missed the mark, until a dash of water was added. The water reduced the smoke and the overbearing spices considerably. Not on my buy list."
