DESCRIPTION

An small batch release from Isle of Raasay Distillery in the Islands region, first released in 2023, with each edition offering a slightly different cask and age composition. Comprising 55% peated and 45% unpeated spirit, matured in ex-American rye whiskey casks before being finished in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 52%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Peppery spice and dried sultanas, underpinned by subtle notes of vanilla.

Palate: Lightly peated with peppery spice, dried sultanas and hints of vanilla, transitioning into darker notes of salty chocolate.

Finish: Lingering salty chocolate with a light hint of aromatic wood smoke.
