DESCRIPTION
A limited single barrel release from Inzalo, a South African agave spirit produced in the Klein Karoo from wild red agave. Rested in a newly refurbished French oak wine barrel with a medium toast profile, using a dual-fill technique: a first fill at 64% to maximise oak character and flavour extraction, then a second fill at 55% to soften the spirit and layer in additional complexity. The two fills were blended in equal parts and bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Warm Christmas marmalade, honey and vanilla layered over a clear agave character, with gentle toasted oak in the background.
Palate: Smooth and warming with soft oak spice, honey, vanilla and delicate sweetness. More restrained and elegant than the Pinotage expression, allowing the purity of the agave spirit to remain front and centre.
Finish: Long and saline with lingering oak warmth, soft spice and a persistent mineral character.
