Still Unique
"At a time when there is such a massive range of whisky, this one still stands out! Chocolatey, mocha coffee, rich and complex and wrapped in velvet."
Released in 2008 as part of Glenmorangie’s Prestige Range and named after the ornate celtic design that adorns Glenmorangie bottles. While the exact details of its production are closely guarded by Glenmorangie’s whisky makers, some of the spirit in Signet has been made using roasted 'chocolate' barley malt and bespoke 'designer casks' made from American white oak. The distillation of Glenmorangie Signet takes place one week every year when the distillery only uses ‘chocolate malt’. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: A strong Aruba espresso fused with a treacly plum pudding, rich with sherry, and candied orange peel.
Palate: A contrast of rich sweetness with an explosive crackle of sizzling spices and bitter mocha.
Finish: A fresh spring-like breeze of mint with a bright citrus lemony-green quality.
Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 5 reviews.

"Yes, it has bling packaging and may seem commercial - but this is not style over substance. This is one of my all time favourite whiskies. It has a malty flavour, complimented by chocolate and coffee. Exceptionally smooth and refined but still with the citrus signature from Glenmorangie. A great one for a special occasion"

"For the price, this is a great single malt. The entire Glenmorangie range is great, but this specific bottle pairs fantastic with a medium bodied cigar. My opinion a great El Septimo-Short Dream"

"This bottling, a blended NAS whisky is absolutely phenomenal. One of the very few whiskies I cannot drink with my eyes open. Fantastic presentation, very easy on the eye, the old expression comes to mind, perhaps in a different context, "eye candy". A great looker on any bar, reserved for those special occasions. As for the whisky, without fail, close your eyes as you take a sip and feel the flavours and delights flow on the nose and palate. The finish is long, chocolate and cinnamon, dash of citrus and a creamy texture will leave you feeling ecstatic."
