This limited release Glenmorangie comes in place of the annual Private Edition range which ended last year, after 10 years. Although Glenmorangie haven't announced it, it is likely we will continue seeing annual limited releases, like this, but not part of a greater series. A Tale of Cake is the result of Glenmorangie’s director of whisky creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, experimenting with Hungarian Tokaji dessert wine casks. Matured in bourbon casks and finished in Tokaji casks. Bottled at 46%.

Nose: Passion fruit, peach, baking bread, honeycomb and vanilla.

Palate: Honey, white chocolate, apricot, almond and pear.

Finish: A lingering aftertaste of honeycomb, chocolate almond and pecan nuts.
