The latest Glenlivet takes its place as the entry expression in the range, and is set to totally replace the 12yo in SA over the next 1-2 years (as it has in the UK since its release in early 2015). The whisky is matured in a "variety of traditional aged oak casks", then married together in a selection of aged oak casks and American first-fill casks. The whisky is named in honour of the distillery's founder, George Smith, and represents the classic Glenlivet style.
